Abbeygale (Abbey) Logan Born 04/01/2001 – Died 04/14/2016 Our beloved dog Abbey was taken away to be with her creator, our Heavenly Father on April 14, 2016. She leaves behind her owner Dorothy, her grandmother, Flora, and her cat pal Prissy Anne Logan. She has gone to be with her life time friend and best pal Chloe Logan who passed in February 2015. We pray that one day we will all be rejoined with them in Heaven when the Lord calls our names. Bible Quote: Revelation 5:8-13 “All creatures recognize Jesus as the Savior of the world and praise God right along with redeemed men.” The Story of Little Cotton A Tribute to Abbey Logan Some time ago in a place in Heaven known as Doggy Heaven, the Lord looked around at all the many angel doggies in Doggy Heaven that were anticipating sharing their loyalty and devotion with an earthly companion. They were running and barking happily as they played contentedly together in a big green meadow beneath a beautiful blue sky. The Lord saw one of his little dogs sitting peacefully, bathing in the sun. She had big beautiful brown eyes, a tiny brown nose and a tiny turned down mouth. Her coat was white as snow with a light dusting of golden brown. To her, sitting beneath the warm sun was all she wanted to do to be happy and content in each day she knew. The Lord watched her as she looked out across the green meadow, her soft white hair blowing about in the cool summer breeze. The Lord knew Little Cotton, as she was white in color, would be perfect for a young lady who had her heart in the right place to love this wonderful little dog. He was right for certain because he is never wrong. For when the young lady saw Little Cotton she was so pleased that when she held her in her arms she knew Little Cotton must have been sent from up above to be so perfect for her to love. So every day they played fetch-the-ball and took walks together to hear the children call her name. One of Little Cotton’s favorite things was to go to the hill top that she knew and sit where she could view some of the same sights as before and some that were new. The young lady grew to love and cherish Little Cotton more and more as each year passed and knew their love would forever last and didn’t count the years as they passed. Then one day the Lord said to little Cotton, it’s almost time my precious one for you to return to the big green meadow where you were first happily playing before you came to live with your loving companion. You must return to the peace and joy that you came from, for your time here is almost done. Little Cotton was filled with joy to think of seeing the big green meadow again but sad as well to be leaving her friends and lifelong companion. Although her companion tried to ease the pain that Little Cotton had been feeling from deep inside again, the pain remained and soon grew even stronger as her eyes revealed that she could not endure it much longer. Soon Little Cotton began to understand the meaning of the Lord’s words and dreamed of being back in the big green meadow again. Still, when the time drew near and Little Cotton was barely able to raise her head, she sought still the comfort of her companion’s hand. Then her companion clearly knew of Little Cotton’s terrible suffering and she turned to the Lord in prayer as she had done many times as of late concerning Little Cotton. And when his answer came to her she was faced in making a decision that was too hard for her to imagine. She held Little Cotton close and embraced her loving little pet for one last time. Her broken heart was only eased by knowing that Little Cotton would soon feel no more pain, but instead feel only the warm embrace of the Lord’s gentle touch as she is taken back home to the big green meadow beneath the beautiful blue sky.
