Turbo Hodnett
March 26, 2022
On March 26, 2022, at age twelve, our boy Turbo suddenly passed to be with the Lord. He left us with many memories and his spirit. He was an extremely intelligent cat and did not forget anything. Once he met you, he would recognize you next time he sees you. People would come up to him on the street or stop their cars and trucks to take his picture. He was well known in our neighborhood and we were known as the people that walk their cat on a leash. He loved to go walking often every day and actually demanded it. When we walked he led the way. He knew where he wanted to go. We would not turn him loose outside because of fear for his safety. He had certain toys he played with and he had a cat tower on our screened back patio that he loved and spent a lot of time on. He became friends with a black lab (Buddy) that lived next door. When they were outside at the same time they would go up to each other and touch noses. Buddy, being a dog, wanted to get acquainted by smelling Turbo’s butt. Turbo let him know in no uncertain terms that was not going to happen. As most pets do, he had to go the vet ever once in a while. He would tolerate them if he had to take shots, but drew the line when they wanted to take his temperature. (Cant’ say I blame him.) Our vets took great care of him all his life. He loved drinking water from the faucet in the bathroom and would not drink from anything on the floor. He also like to be brushed, but his favorite was to be vaccumed with a hand vaccum. When he would go on one of his morning walks he had to go next door to visit with (Jimmy). Jimmy was an elder man and Turbo would go over and stand at his door until he was let in. Turbo would walk through his house checking on everything and when he was satisfied that all was good, he would go the door to be let out to finish his walk. Not only do we miss him, but so do our neighbors. He was loved by everyone.
