Dreux Manzella

Dreux, you were my precious Angel, my baby, my loyal companion, my shadow, my treasure. The house is lonely & my heart is empty without you but I have the wonderful memories we shared & the beautiful paw prints you left on my heart. You were truly a wonderful part of our family. From the moment you were brought home with your sister, you, a fluffy bundle of joy, captured my heart. I was blessed with you as a gift from my niece to ease the pain of losing a previous pet & you provided me that comfort. You enjoyed being around people, especially your aunts, uncles, cousins, & canine sister & cousins. You would get so excited when one of their names was mentioned, you began looking around to find them. Cats fascinated you & you wanted desperately to play with them but they all ignored you. You loved to dress up in your bow ties, jackets, & sweaters & wear a birthday hat to have your picture taken to send birthday wishes to family & friends. You tolerated wearing silly bunny ears & a tie to celebrate Easter, costumes on Halloween, & special Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve. You loved visiting with family & friends, playing ball with the neighbors, & playing fetch with your favorite toys. Just mentioning going “bye bye” excited you & you’d run downstairs & hop in the car, anxiously awaiting the car ride. You were so well behaved & always wanted to please. You were such a pleasant pup - so happy, it appeared that you were constantly smiling. Together, we sat for hours on the front porch, watching the neighborhood kids play or napping on the back screened in porch. You’d sit in the bathroom waiting for your morning kisses & hugs when I stepped out of the shower & you loved lying with the front door opened soaking up the sun rays. You were happy eating your favorite snacks (popsicles, ice cream, apples & popcorn) & just chilling with momma. For nine years, you filled my life with joy, laughter, love, & contentment. My life was made better with you by my side. I will never stop loving you & will miss you dearly. May you forever Rest In Peace, my sweet baby boy.
